They are all favorites ~

While growing up I knew families who brothers and sisters adored each other AND I knew families that had brothers and sisters who seriously hated each other. I'm a lucky one who had siblings that loved each... there were fights here and there, but I remember the fun times the most. Like my big brother Mace teaching us how to make killer forts in our downstairs, or rallying us all together to see who could slide down the stairs the fastest on the baby crib mattress. And my baby brother Riley, always wanting to play with us. And he always asked questions and mostly smiled... Big sister Klair was everything I wanted to be when I grew up.... she always had clothes I wanted to wear, and I did ask to wear them... I would write down on a piece of paper the shirt or pants I wanted to wear, asking yes or no and if I was allowed, she would put the clothes outside of her door for me to get in the morning...

I always wonder how my kids will be with each other... from how things are now, J and G are best friends. We always say to Jax, to never tell Gracie to jump off a cliff, because she would do anything her big brother would tell her. We love to watch them play with each other. Jax is so patient and playful... and Gracie just eats it up. They truly love each other.

I love how the first thing Gracie thinks of when she comes back home to us or wakes up from a nap is her baby... she will whisper baby and say sshhh. She really thinks that she can go up to the baby and pick her and walk away... like Reese is her doll. Its hilarious to watch Gracie look at us like "what?...this is my baby and its fine", as she tries to walk away with Reese in her arms.

We love how Jax hates to hear either of his little sisters cry... he is the first one to get Gracie out of her crib when she fusses or to let Reese hold his finger for comfort. If Gracie sits by him he always wants his picture taken with her.

I hope that Chris and I will be able to always make sure our kids love each other. I hope they know that NONE of them is more loved by either one of us, and that we adore them the same at times, or would like to sell them to Indians on some days. Of course we would only sell them for the same equal price...as I mentioned before there are no favorites here :)

  1. I think the best way to have kids like eachother like your family is to have four completley obnoxious kids then... no one else will want to be around them and they forced to be best friends with eachother... I'm so damn funny... and your mom is going to kill me for this one.
