Mine...

I think its hot when Chris has a baby bottle in his back pocket of his jeans.. My heart melts when Bubba snuggles right up to Chris and my handsome husband instantly wraps his loving arms around our son.. I love it when my spicy n' sweet angels giggle until no noise comes from their mouths, because their playful daddy has them cornered for a tickle torture session.

When we were dating..wait a second we didn't date.. When we became instantly connected forever with a baby coming to us, we both knew that everything was going to be alright. We knew our family was meant to be together.. and we were so right.

I am my beloved's.. and my beloved is mine..

Gift of Life

I didn't give you the gift of life..

But in my heart I know.
..
The love I feel is deep and real,

As if it had been so.

For us to have each other

Is like a dream come true!

 No, I didn't give you..
the gift of life,

Life gave me the gift of you

Our Sick Day...

Momma’s girls are sick ~ Reese had her 6 month immunizations that are now causing the flu and Gracie..well Gracie, came home sick.

We spent the day cuddling on the couch with Ariel serenading the both of them from “under the sea”..both of my girls fevering, while their eyes were red and runny with “sick tears”.. both achy down to their bones that I tried to massage better... both needing kisses, whispers of “its ok” and both taking shots of Tylenol to soothe them where I couldn’t.

Sass took a killer nap and Reesey Piecey was just killer.. she didn’t want to sit. She needed to be bobbed up and down as I walked our “love shack’s” small square footage over and over. She nustled in my arms and fell asleep in the recliner..where we both stayed for a smitch over an hour while she finally gave in and closed those sad, sick, tired, lil’ eyes of hers.

Although our sick day was a lazy day, we are all exhausted. I look like hell, although I’m as healthy as a horse. I just licked my lips and they were salty.. I’m going to go with tears or snot, neither of which would be mine, but that’s okay cause both are favorites.

Today was good, but I know tomorrow will be better ~

Our Night Out ~

We partied at Grandma Grace's Friday night.. It was B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Babies)..we gobbled pizza, buffalo wings (from chicken) and doughnuts, pronounced DUFF-NUTS...

We got silly after that..

When our sugar highs wore off, we gave the babies a night cap, packed our haul and gave kisses..

I'll tell ya what.. For a good time, call Grandma Grace..you'll be glad you did ~

My "sweet-please" ~

Oh Gracie..

Let me tell you about this funny story that you, so sweetly, would not surrender - When you were even "yiddler" than you are now, you would say please so easily. In fact you would say please just to say it..but for some crazy reason you have stopped. I have a few ideas, but I'm not an expert so I can't be FUR SHORE why saying please has come to an abrupt, no non-sense halt.

The other day you wanted a kiss.. a Hershey's chocolate kiss..not your kisses because those are really licks, which I love..anyway you went to the pantry and said, "some.. I want some".. I normally would have just let you have one with no please required, but that night was the night it would all begin to change.

You and I stood at that pantry with the door closed for 10 minutes...you repeatedly saying, "some..I want some" and I in return saying, "say please..Gracie say please?". You never once yelled at me or hit me.. you just kept those eyebrows as close together with all the determination you could muster. YOU were NOT going to say please. You'd rather give up your binky, than say please.

I began to worry that this was going on a little long and I didn't want to stress you, so I scooped you up in my momma arms and whispered, "Sassy say please?" and you whispered back, "some.. I want some." So, we together, walked away from the pantry door, with no Hershey kisses melting in your mouth and began to play puzzles on the floor with Reesey.

I could tell that your mind was still at that pantry door with the Hershey kisses waiting behind it for you.. You stood up and came and sat in my lap. You turned your sweet face up to me with eyebrows almost touching and whispered, "please" in a voice I will never, ever forget. Again I scooped you up in my momma arms.. I began to sing and dance with praises unto you, my little firecracker, cause you did it! You said please and I knew it was so hard for you, but you did it and you not only got ONE Hershey kiss, you got THREE!!

You giggled as you ate them and between Bubba and I picking you up and twirling you around while singing, "Sassy said please, oh Sassy said, please!" You would say, "please!".

Gracie Girl, I love your determination. I know that it will get you so far and have you so successful in your life. But please, Sass, for the love of all that's pure and holy, cut momma some slack, eh?

I love you ~
Momma
